State Reports
Each week, two students will be chosen to complete a report about one of the fifty states. Students will select a state at random and receive a map piece for that state. They will have one week to complete a report as well as illustrate the map piece. The report must be in paragraph form and in the student's own words. Please do not let them copy directly from a website. The report must include: the date the state was founded, capital, major cities, major landforms, industry, population, and bordering states, and what the state is known for. Reports can also include interesting facts, famous people from the state, and major tourist attractions . The map piece must include the state capital, 2 major cities, and 3 major landforms. State reports are due on Friday. A sample report is shown below.
